The Åke Blomström Masterclass at Prix Europa, is a two-day intensive workshop. Audio documentary makers from across Europe at the beginning of their careers can apply for 10 travel allowances each year. The financially contributing broadcasters can also send one participant each.
Four award-winning feature makers talk about their work on their audio documentaries. Participants can pitch a feature project and get feedback from the masters and other participants. The masterclass and the subsequent Prix Europa offer the opportunity to network with other feature makers from across Europe.
Many participants in the masterclasses have already been invited to the EBU Audio Storytelling Festival with their pieces, nominated for the Prix Europa, or commissioned by broadcasters for feature or series projects.
